This morning, I stopped in the middle of the road…..
I can’t remember the last time my wake-up had a 4 in it and my drive had a 6 in it but now it does. As the sky shifted from darkness to the soft colors of day, I realized—I needed that sunrise more than I knew. I often say to others, “The sun will rise again.” And this morning, it rose with reverence.
As I pulled back onto the road, these lyrics played:
“Who tells the Sun to rise every morning?
Colors the sky with the shades of His glory?
Wakes us with mercy and love?
Jesus does.”
There’s something deeply grounding about those unexpected moments where life forces you to *pause*, and instead of frustration, you’re met with something sacred—like a sunrise that speaks directly to your soul. The timing of that song, too... it’s as if the universe, or God, or whatever name you give it, reached into my morning just to whisper, *“I see you.”
If you’re in a hard season—please hear this: You will get through it. Call a friend. Talk to a counselor. Watch the sunrise. You are not alone.
